2022 ER Lariat with 67K miles. Charged at a Ford dealership and the charger would not release after charging. No issues when inserting the charger handle.

I used the manual release cable to disconnect with no issues but it did not seem to fully retract after being pulled. Now let’s see if I have issues getting the next charger to work properly. I’ll update in an hour.

The next charge was an hour away at a Tesla charger. The first attempt was a red ring of death that “circled”.

I removed the charger and pulled the manual release five or so time to get it to fully retract. Since it has never been used it needed “lube” to fully retract.

The next attempt was a solid red ring of death.

I told Moonshine (my White Lightning) to play nice or I’ll have you towed to the dealer where you will get a hands on attitude adjustment.

The third attempt was all cool blue. No issues charging. Moonshine and I are back on good terms.
