All of us are required by BAM's own TRO to boycott them

You heard it here first, folks. Not within 1000 yards. We have no choice but to comply

GoFundMe update - under review

It is under review by their Trust & Safety team, and typically will either be reinstated or automatically refunded.

As of a few weeks ago, BAM is an authorized LEGO reseller. Let's contact LEGO and tell them that this is not okay anymore.

If enough of us express our displeasure with their partnership, LEGO may be forced to end it. As the momentum grows and more and more people become aware and upset over the situation, the higher the chance of LEGO stepping in. Needless to say, the big brick denouncing BAM would be a devastating blow.

Below is a link to LEGO customer service and a sample of what I sent. Make it your own, but remain respectful.

Hi,

I recently learned about the LEGO Group's official partnership with Bricks & Minifigs as an authorized reseller. As a long-time LEGO enthusiast who has invested thousands of dollars in LEGO products over the years, I am concerned and deeply disappointed by this relationship given the numerous allegations and reports regarding Bricks & Minifigs' business practices that have recently come to light. I am particularly troubled due to the substantial amount of publicly available evidence that appears to support many of these concerns.

I would like to know whether the LEGO Group is aware of these concerns and whether it plans to review or reconsider this partnership in light of the ongoing developments surrounding the Bricks & Minifigs situation. As a loyal customer, I believe this association reflects poorly on the LEGO brand and the values it seeks to uphold.

I care deeply about the LEGO Group and the community it has built, which is why this issue is important to me and to many other members of the LEGO community. However, if the LEGO Group continues to support Bricks & Minifigs despite these concerns, I will be forced to reconsider my future purchases and involvement in the hobby.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response.

Join me in contacting LEGO directly over concerns about BAM conduct regarding recent events!

If enough of us contact the LEGO Group, maybe they will make a statement, or even better, distance themselves from BAM.

https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/contact-us/topics

I chose "I need help with something else" -> "My topic isn't listed" on the above page. Below is a sample paragraph for the text body (of course, change yours to reflect yourself and your concerns):

"Hello,

I am writing as a long-time LEGO enthusiast and collector who is deeply concerned about the recent conduct of an independent LEGO reseller and franchise, Bricks & Minifigs (BAM).

It has recently come to wider public attention that a BAM location in Oregon entered into a contractual agreement to sell a large LEGO Star Wars collection on behalf of an elderly man and his family. According to the agreement, ownership of the collection remained with the family until the items were sold, with BAM taking a commission from those sales.

Unfortunately, the original owner of that BAM location was reportedly forced out by BAM corporate while much of the collection was still in the store. Afterwards, the new owner refused to return either the remaining LEGO sets or the proceeds from sold items, despite the family presenting their contract. BAM corporate also refused to cooperate or assist the family, and local law enforcement considered the matter a civil dispute.

The family later pursued the matter in small claims court with the help of some friends and won a judgment. However, the location immediately closed permanently, leaving the family unable to recover what the court awarded them.

I understand that the LEGO Group does not own Bricks & Minifigs. However, BAM stores prominently use LEGO branding and exclusively deal in LEGO products, which creates a strong public association between the two companies. Because of that association, situations like this can reflect poorly on the LEGO brand and the values many fans (such as myself) associate with it.

I ask that the LEGO Group at least review this situation internally and consider whether any response, guidance, or public statement is necessary regarding its relationship with Bricks & Minifigs and the standards expected of businesses operating so closely alongside the LEGO brand.

Thank you for your time and consideration."
