Attenpting to melt bronze but my pours keep coming out poorly

Furnace is set to 1150° C, and I’m heating the crucible with a MAP torch before pouring, but the poor looks “chunky” and comes out like this. What am I doing wrong?

My hastily thrown together booth at vcfsw this year

First time having a booth and it was a blast. Had my quadra 700 running A/UX, a SPARCstation 10SX with Solaris 6, SGI Indy with IRIX 5.3, and a Sunblade 150 which was running Solaris 10 when the photo was taken, but ended the weekend with Solaris 8
