Hear me out.

I think AI has incredible capabilities for teaching and learning. It's essentially a world encyclopedia and custom tutor in your pocket.

But the problem is that it's not allowed to serve this very simple, helpful function.

First it's on the same device as doom scrolling. It needs its own medium to be genuinely be helpful, particularly in uncomfortable situations like studying and learnings.

Second, all the major tech companies behind these AI services are run by the same manipulative tactics and growth playbooks as the existing morally corrupt apps and services.

I've been toying with the idea of creating my own wearable that just allows me to speak to an AI in a very straight-forward way, with no bs. It shouldn't try to create a creepy parasocial relationship with you, or make you as dependent on it as possible. It should just be a helpful tool, and that's IT.

I created an apple watch app as my first iteration. I've been turning off my phone and just using my apple watch to interact with the AI and I've found it super helpful.

I think there is something here for creating a "dumb phone" for AI.
