Mapping cell service in Louisville

Mapping cell service in Louisville

I'm personally very happy the city is focusing energy on the poor cell coverage in town.

https://www.engagelouisvilleco.org/cell-service

From the city website:

"The City is working to identify ways that we can work with service providers to improve coverage. Our first step is to better understand where cell service is consistently poor or unavailable.

We need your help! Use the map on this page to place pins in the general areas where you experience poor or no cell service. The location does not need to be exact, but please place your pin as close to the problem area as possible.

It’s okay if multiple people place pins in the same area. In fact, we encourage it! We want to hear from as many people as possible so we can better understand where service gaps are happening.

This data will be used to help us understand where the major gaps are, and support conversations with City Council and service providers."

Highly recommend BGOLD Glass

We received a BGOLD Glass experience as a gift and absolutely loved it! Such a fun, unique experience and a really cool way to spend a few hours.

Bryan is a gifted artist and teacher. He’s approachable, calm, friendly, and incredibly supportive, which made it easy to jump in and try something completely new. He does a great job guiding you through the process while still letting you be creative and make something of your own.

I highly recommend BGOLD Glass. We had a fantastic time!

Itinerary Check - Have I planned too much to do?

I can't seem to add flair, but I wanted to get a sanity check on this plan. It seems like it might be too much. I really want to get some NPS passport stamps while I'm exploring the city. I'll be there in the middle of August. I'm stumped for dinner nearly every night.

  • Head to Comedy Cellar - via B, D, F, or M Train from Grand Central to West 4th St - Washington Sq Station
  • Bite before the show at a place nearby?
  • Comedy Cellar - 1130PM show (reservations secured)
  • Grab a taxi cab back

  • Grab a specialty coffee at Little Collins or Pershing Square Ess-a-bagel?

  • Lunch at Katz's Deli?

  • Boutique Shopping at Alice + Olivia
  • Train ride back to hotel
  • Head to Peloton NYC Studio for live class at 530 PM (reservation secured) via 7 train

Experience at fireworks show

Hi - we were at the golf course for the fireworks show. From where we were sitting, it seemed like there was a sudden burst of flame, followed by fireworks launching from within/near the crowd. No emergency services responded and everyone just kind of hung out until the show ended. Did anyone else see that? Just curious what happened…

RTD considering eliminating 228 bus route

Quoted from the email:

Citing low utilization, RTD is considering eliminating Route 228, one of the two RTD bus routes serving Louisville. Route 228 connects Lafayette to Superior and Broomfield and includes stops along Highway 42, South Boulder Road, Via Appia, and McCaslin Boulevard in Louisville. To view the schedule and route map for Route 228, visit RTD's website.

Route 228 is Louisville's only public transportation serving the McCaslin corridor, where the City expects additional growth with the soon-to-open King Soopers Marketplace, planned CU development at the former Cinebarre site, and other anticipated development in Centennial Valley.
RTD is expected to vote on the proposed service changes in July, with any approved changes effective in September. The DASH bus route, which connects Boulder to Lafayette via Louisville, would not be impacted by proposed service cuts.

Make your voice heard: How to weigh in on RTD's proposed elimination of Route 228
Whether the elimination of Route 228 bus service would impact you or your family, or you just want to advocate for Louisville's access to public transportation, your feedback can help inform RTD's decision.

There are multiple ways to make your voice heard:
Email the RTD Board
RTD's 15-member board Board of Directors will make the ultimate decision on whether or not to eliminate Route 228. To provide feedback via email, contact RTD.Directors@rtd-denver.com and copy service.change@rtd-denver.com and Lynn.Guissinger@rtd-denver.com(Lynn Guissinger is Louisville's representative on the RTD Board).

Use RTD's online comment form
Another option is to use RTD's online Service Planning and Development Comment Form.

By phone
To speak to RTD's Service Planning and Development staff, call 303-299-2004.

Attend a virtual public hearing
RTD will hold three virtual public hearings from June 22–24:
Monday, June 22 — 12–1 p.m.
Monday, June 22 — 5:30–6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, June 23 — 12–1 p.m.
Wednesday, June 24 — 5:30–6:30 p.m.
Please submit any feedback by RTD's deadline of July 8.

Heretik in RiNo

My husband and I went to Heretik last night. The vibe is neighborhood eatery and the food was delightful. The service was amazing - our server was knowledgeable about the menu and helped us order the right amount of food. It would be easy to over order bc everything looks great. I can’t wait to go back.

  1. Lejerreta pintxo
  2. deviled eggs w tuna tartare
  3. petit basque w membrillo and black walnut
  4. rotisserie poulet rouge
  5. celeriac rémoulade w smoked trout (half eaten before I snapped a pic)
  6. basque cheesecake w rhubarb sauce
