On the Way to the Forbidden Kingdom

The road to Lo Manthang never looks the same twice.

This section of the Upper Mustang trail received fresh snowfall overnight, turning an already challenging mountain road into a mix of loose rocks, ice, and snow. Every kilometer demanded complete focus, but moments like this are exactly why riding here is unforgettable.

Often called the Forbidden Kingdom of Nepal, Upper Mustang offers a rare combination of Himalayan landscapes, ancient Tibetan culture, remote mountain villages, and some of the most rewarding motorcycle routes in the world. Whether you're riding a Royal Enfield Himalayan or another adventure bike, the journey is every bit as memorable as the destination.

Riding Through the Frozen Landscapes of Upper Mustang, Nepal

One of the things I love most about riding in Nepal is how quickly the landscape changes. Within a single journey, you can go from green hills to high-altitude deserts and snow-covered mountain passes.

This photo was taken during a ride in Upper Mustang, where the combination of rugged terrain, fresh snow, and complete silence creates an unforgettable experience. No filters—just the raw beauty of the Himalayas.

Have you ever ridden or traveled through Nepal's mountain regions?

Spent another day riding through Upper Mustang, and it still doesn't feel real. The landscapes change every few kilometers wind-carved cliffs, tiny villages, ancient monasteries, and roads that somehow make you want to keep riding long after you're exhausted. Photos never seem to capture the scale

Riding through the riverbeds of Upper Mustang, Nepal. The landscape out here feels more like another planet than a typical motorcycle route. Every turn brings a different challenge. Would you ride through this, or look for a bridge?
