More kitbash than usual, was it worth it? Drift box turned buggy.

More than I would usually do, a lot of cutting, plastic bits, drilling and pinning together. Was it worth it? Not sure I added much, could have just started off with a longer car. I cut this in two then added an engine. Maybe a longer car and cut an engine-hole next time might look better? Obviously looks disjointed but that was the plan. I dont think it quite works though? Any critique greatly appreciated. What could I have done?

Not sure about weathering pigments.

Id usually use a weathering pigment on the wheels and on the chipping on hotwheels size cars but it tends to run off the brush a lot and pool which gives the effect I like but I think it will drown this size. Anyone use something similar or should I just go for it and see?

Sorry its UK only but postage is crazy. I was recently gifted some skid dice and the kind guy wouldnt accept anything for the postage so instead I offered to pay it forward. So up for grabs are these three vehicles for anyone who is interested. Leave a comment to be included in the draw, ill give it a week or so, then ill contact you if youre the winner and update. Good luck.

Did I go too far with the weathering?

Not sure if its the weathering or just too much going on but it seems busy.

Where do you get your mesh UK?

I keep buying sieves and plasterboard tape and other random desk tidies that have a metal mesh on it but every time I get home it's too big and looks stupid because only one x shape on the vertical fits across the windscreen. Any advice for where to get smaller scale mesh please so I dont have to keep painting windows? Preferably plastic if possible?

Stuck with blue, changed window colour and added more stuff.

Next with be some weathering/chipping. Thanks to everyone who said blue looks good. Gave me motivation to continue.

I just dont like blue

It doesnt seem to matter how well I paint it im just not a fan of blue. Yellow, orange and red im fine with. Even green. Am I using the wrong tone?

Need advice for wear and tear please

Not sure how but id like to add some wear and tear to this. Ive seen people with makeup sponges and packaging foam do chipping but im not sure if they are too large for what im after? I dont want it totally destroyed but some weathering on the wheels arches and longer lines of the body would look good. Any tips appreciated.

Update: Off road wheels, big exhaust, machine gun in light, cut out for engine, rocket launcher and side window reinforced.

Started painting. Rocket/grenade launcher fell off, will paint separately. Not sure about wheels? Pleased with rear lights. Not sure about hazard stripes on tube. Should I repaint the tube a solid colour, maybe blue or green?

Seems ready to paint?

Which wheels?

Neither are the original wheels side views first then head on to show placements, not sure about which way to go with this. All feedback appreciated.
