Upgrading CUCM 14.0 to 15.0 on VMware Workstatation 25

Hi,

My lab is built on Workstation 25 (Ubuntu host), running fine but I can't seem to upgrade CUCM from 14 to 15 because it's not on ESXi. Does anyone know of a workaround?

UPDATE: Some confusion about my post, apparently. VMware Workstation Pro 25 works fine for new installs. I have 50 virtual machines running my 12.6.2 and 15.0.1 PCCE environment just fine (along with domain controllers and CUBE). No issues there. If I try to run the pre upgrade check, it gives me an error that upgrading to CUCM 15 is only supported on ESXi (which I'm not running). Is there any way around this limitation? This didn't used to be the case, upgrades worked fine on Workstation before.

Final steps in PCCE installation

Okay, sorry in advance for the weird question. I've installed PCCE 12.6.2 in a duplex set on two VM Ware Workstation hosts (30 virtual machines) - no problems, everything works perfectly, no errors.

I haven't installed it on ESXi. My understanding is that in ESXi there is final step that is different than when you set up a lab (which is, you import a csv with your hosts). In ESXi, when the machines have all been configured and ready for SPOG to do its thing, what's the last step look like in ESXi?

Hi, I can't seem to find any definitive documentation for restoring, say, a Peripheral Gateway in a PCCE 12.6.2 duplex environment. Even TAC has been a bit vague about what it takes to restore servers.

My impression is that, basically, if a PG for whatever reason needs to be replaced in a PCCE environment it's basically a rebuild of the server from OS to certs. I'm quite familiar with this process but would like some validation. Also, once a server has been restored, is it imported into SPOG via Update Core Machines?
