What is that little compartment on grinders for?

The top to half of my plastic grinder comes off and there's a little compartment in there. Is that for storing flower or is it just kinda there? Would post a pic but that's not allowed.

Edit: There is no kief catcher built in. It is a cheap plastic grinder. There are no holes or mesh film between it and the compartment that would allow kief to pass. It's a solid plastic wall. I may invest in a better grinder tho if I can collect kief 👀

Chunk of seal in syringe

Not sure where else to post this, sorry if this violates the rules for some reason. Everytime I draw up my testosterone I get this chunk of the seal bit off by the drawing needle (18g). It's usually not still in the syringe when I'm done injecting. Been on it for 3-ish years and nothing bad has happened yet. Does this happen to anyone else? Should I be concerned? How can I avoid this?

Edit: Okay more info. I take enanthate not cypionate. Everything is fully sanitized. I inject subcutaneously. I looked into what materials the rubber stoppers are made of and toxicity levels for each of them and it's not looking great in terms of carcinogens. But other than that, I think I'm fine.

Speaker recs for SMALL SPACES?

Speakers y'all recommended me were HUGE lmao. Yall must have a lot of space because there is absolutely no place to fit these in my apartment. They're almost the size of my torso each. For those curious theyre the Polk ES20. Sending them back and using my old ones for now. Any recommendations for small spaces?

Rest of my setup is a Fluance RT82, Fluance preamp, Fosi Za3

Rate my hypothetical setup

After some input from commenters and scouring the internet for reviews, I've decided on a few upgrades to my turntable setup. (Previously had the AT-LP60X and Alesis M1Active 320USB speakers)

TT: Fluance RT82

Amp: Aiyama A20

Speakers: Klipsch RP-500M II

If the cord length allows for it I'll be putting the speakers to the sides of my TV which is more centered with the room than my previous setup. I'll probably put some kind of padding below them too to isolate it further.

All in all, including warranties and a few accessories, it comes out to about 1k which is a bit over my initial budget but aint that just the way it goes 🤷‍♂️

Think this'll be worth it?

Speaker recs?

So after the Crosley haters found my post asking about the E100, I decided to get the AT-LP120X instead even though I'm not a big Audio Technica fan. I've been told your sound will be as good as your speakers even if you have a high-end TT, and I currently have the Alesis M1 Active 320USB speakers (gift, not my choice). I think they sound alright and I haven't had many problems with them but what would be an appropriate step up from those?

Any Crosley E100 owners? What do you think of it?

I know Crosley has a poor reputation but I've read that this is the best quality turntable they make and haven't been able to find any negative reviews on it. Has anyone tried this one and what do you have to say about the quality/sound/ease of use/upgrade potential? For context I'm upgrading from my beat up AT-LP60X because of sound issues and bad memories attached. I just want something under $450 that won't destroy my records or sound like crap.
