987 racing seats - can I gain headroom?

I fit fine in my 987 when street driving (like a glove) but I’m tall and it’s real close, only an inch or so of headroom. But when I wear my racing helmet, I’m making hard contact with the roof no matter how I sit. Pictured are the stock seats I’ve got in now. Does anyone have experience switching to an aftermarket bucket or recaro - I’ve found the sportster comfortable, not sure about the more narrow seats - any idea how much space is possible to free up?

Is jewel osco the shadiest grocer?

If you pay normal prices it’s like 2x the cost of sale prices, so you need to join their program and participate. But their app is impossible to use (to “clip” their coupons).

And today they got me with a new scam: the for sale sign says “unlimited” items can be bought for the on sale price. And I bought some the other day and it was great. But this time it wasn’t scanning. So I asked an employee and they said oh yeah even though the sign says that, if you used the coupon last time, it won’t let you use it again for the rest of the promotion this week, you’re done.

I’m really surprised nobody has gone after them for consumer protection stuff, their sale ads are deceptive.

But I mean it’s fine I know they’re a Chicagoland classic and have a bar inside and deal with iPass registrations. They must be well connected

Imagine someone buys a 1999 996 - repair cost

That drives fine, good exterior interior condition, regular oil changes, but has about as much deferred maintenance as it can have. Low mileage, like 40k. Original suspension. Worn lower control arms, blown struts, disintegrated bump stops, some sort of vagueness on steering (steering rack? Doesn’t seem like tie rods), motor mounts, original water pump and thermostat, old design oil sump plate (maybe not immediately but will change next oil change), battery, stainless steel brake lines.

In your area what would this cost to fix with an Indy mechanic? Even ballpark thought process would help.

These are beautiful cars and I probably should’ve known a little better but hey, seems like this will be a learning experience.

Is 3B our biggest target at deadline?

Last year it was smart not to overpay for Eugenio Suarez. This year who’s available that would add an impact bat, anybody?

Nolan Arenado may be one to watch if diamondbacks scuffle a little. He’s having a good year, he obviously has the veteran experience, and cardinals are paying most of the contract. But I guess Arizona is still wildcard so maybe they won’t be sellers.

My second idea is, I wonder why they don’t try Sal Frelick there - easy for me to say, he’s only played a few innings over there.

PS another bullpen arm usually helps too, but even the bottom of our bullpen is decent rn imho
