Americans were intentionally fattened up with addictive food to make them famine resistant in preparation for WW3.
Widespread obesity exploded over the last couple decades and is a relatively new phenomenon and we've also known WW3 was going to happen around 2027-2030 for even longer, geopolitics reflects this.
Just a wild theory.
