Ive been getting alerts about the storm of the century and all it was, was some wind and a bit of rain?

I got my annual tire rotation and oil change done at costco and its been about 100km so I went to torque the lugs up to spec but the socket was getting stuck on every single nut... Did costco mess up my lugs? I've never encountered this before, I've had my car for 6 years and do my own maintenance so I was kind of dumbfounded to see the nuts are getting stuck in the socket when that was never an issue before. I torque my lugs multiple times a year and twice after taking them off to ensure proper torque and my sockets never stuck before and now its like theyre all swollen or something...
