Engineering graduating this sem from NUS, been interested in doing AI/ML related stuff before the GPT craze (did some AI gigs during poly)

I had an internship with one of the gov AI labs but no return offer. frankly, finding a job right after bachelor's was always the plan because of family finances. However after months of interviewing, never got further than the HM interview. Ik this field is almost always expectant of postgrad + work exp.

Heard ppl going for AI apprenticeship, also considering also maybe some EDB-IPP under some companies. Or should I really just stick to get a job first? Anyone in similar boat or any insights?
