Freddo ride on - where to install buck converter?

Hi all!
I was given a freddo ride on and increased the power (plus led lights!) subsequently blowing the radio, got a new radio and a 12v buck converter, any idea on where in the circuit the buck converter should be installed?

I was thinking in the dash just before the radio, however this car also has headlights and a horn and worried they’ll eventually burn out with 24v.

This sub and people are so helpful, thanks to the community both my kids love their cars and a few of the neighbourhood kids have a hoot ripping around the block!

(Once it’s sorted out I will be putting in proper splice connectors)

Freddo - bypass remote control for highest speed?

I was generously given this Freddo ride on that has the option for the kids to drive on their own at slow and medium speed, with the highest speed only accessible if the parent is using the remote control.

Does anyone have ideas on how to bypass the remote only access to the higher speed or simply give an overall increase in speed ?

I thought about wiring the batteries directly to the pedal/motors but the kids love the lights and radio (plus the sound it makes when turned on is pretty neat), so would prefer to keep that functioning.

I don’t think higher voltage here is an option either as it may damage the other components.

Any help would be great.

Modified a power wheels jeep and the kids have been thrilled, love the community here!

(Yes I know the interior is in rough shape, it was previously stored outdoors, but still works great !)
