After the dust of Second Weltkrieg settles, a new Cold War begins on the carcass of the old order.

In the Western Hemisphere, while Jay Lovestone and the SUA supported the 3I during the Second Weltkrieg, ideological differences caused the two parties to fall out after the fall of the Kaiserreich. While Lovestone, assisted by United Communes of Brazil, succeeded in bringing the Revolution to the western hemisphere, Argentina and Chile remain firmly on the side of the 3I

In Europe the continent remains divided between the forces of the Third Internationale and the Moscow Accord. Western Germany is liberated by the 3I while Prussia remains occupied by the Russian Army. While the 3I went into the Weltkrieg united, as new elections are held and new leaders are elected many fear that ideological divides could tear the alliance asunder and render it unable to efficiently defend itself from potential aggression from the Vozhd.

In the East Japan has taken advantage of every major power being distracted and has established total dominion over East Asia. China and Australia lie firmly under the Japanese boot as the Empire revels in its victory.

In the Middle East the against all odds the Sublime Porte has survived the tumult of the 30s and 40s. The Ottoman Federation finds itself surrounded on all sides by foreign spheres. If the Turks wish to make it out of the century in one piece, they may soon be forced to align with either the Vozhd or the Emperor.

The dust settles and the populations of the four major geopolitical blocs tire of war. Nobody wants a Third Weltkrieg, and the Americans, French, Russians, and Japanese all gear up for a new type of war, a colder war.
