Repair scratched deck
I had someone accidentally scratch up my deck, looking for the best way to repair it.
We have about 80m² between one large, one medium and two smaller decked areas. The timber is purple heart and we use the Cutek system for oiling. There are about 30-40 scratches ranging from "meh" to "wtf".
What would be the best approach to returning it to near perfect:
A) Sand the entire deck
B) Sand the full lengths of effected planks
C) Feather sand only the scratched areas
D) Something else
Thinking I can't do this until closer to summer as oiling in winter makes it infinitely harder.
Also with regard to sanding, how would you approach this? Carefully by hand or use an orbital sander?
What would you experienced punters do?
