So discovered this morning during rush hour that Bacon Street is closed between Pond and School in both directions with detours down those respective streets. I spoke with the detail officer on-site, who indicated that this closure will remain in effect through the fall as work progresses south toward Main Street. Unfortunately, he did not have specific details regarding the exact days or hours of the closure. The southbound detour is particularly bad in the morning with all that traffic trying to exit Pond onto Lexington.
