Safest way to clean mouldy dishes without bleach?
Really embarrassed to be making this post, but I've been dealing with some depression-y stuff at the moment and left my dishes in the sink too long, and now a few have ended up with a few getting a bit of mould on them.
I've seen online everyone recommend using bleach but I'm in a shoebox apartment for uni and I just don't think it's well ventilated enough for me to do so (at least not while I also have to be living in here). So, is there a next best solution that'll still actually work?
None of the stuff is porous, though there are a few silicone seals around the edge of a few container lids, which maybe is slightly more complicated but they're the non-porous sort, and also not near the mould itself (and I think removeable if you need).
Also, two notes: 1) I do not have a dishwasher, but I can heat/boil water if that's helpful, the plates can handle it, and 2) I've seen people recommend Dawn dish soap a lot (not for disinfecting it seems, just for cleaning) but we don't have that in my country, not in any regular stores anyway.
Edit: Thanks for all the advice. Went with just a lot of soap, scalding hot water, scrubbing and multiple rounds of washing, plus threw a few plastic chopsticks in the rubbish just so I didn't have to fret, although they were probably fine. Anyway, no more advice needed! If what I did was the wrong move and I'm going to die of Every Possible Disease Ever, I shall simply have to accept my fate.
