Will I Get Caught?

I just want to start with that always pay my fare. So the other day, when I tapped the OMNY reader on a select bus it didn't pick up payment. I did have money on my card. The reader wasn't working for everyone else as well.

I'm thinking to myself, "you know what I'll just get on the bus." But then, I started to get the feeling that fare enforcers were going to be at the next bus stop. I was on the bus and the next stop is 10 blocks away. Again, I just a had a mf feeling they were gonna be there.

AND THEY WERE.

I panicked, tried to scan my OMNY but stupid reader didn't work. Bunch of other people were panicking and trying to scan. I couldn't get CLOSE to the reader. It wasn't the Eagle team but other fare enforcers. They stopped me because I just didn't have the balls to walk away. I was like shit.

They scanned my card and said to me I didn't pay. I tell them the reader in the back doesn't work. "Why did you enter through the back?" he asked. "It's a select bus." "So why didn't you try the front?" he followed up with. "I just didn't." "You should try all the readers." "Okay," I said.

"Let me see your ID."

"You know what forget it." I walked away and he was left with my OMNY card. 😭

I immediately transferred funds to another card and removed my contact info/payment that I had saved in my OMNY account.

Is there a possibility I will get mail saying I owe $3? 🫠 I heard people get warnings and then collection mails.

Got sudden and high tinnitus May of 2025. I went to urgent care twice and two ENTs. I apparently had noticeable inflammation inside my sinuses and eustachian tubes. Never had this in my life. I was diagnosed with ETD caused by inflammation. I've been on Fluticasone and saline nasal sprays ever since.

Symptoms I did not have typical with ETD:

• Ear pain, dizziness, vertigo, hearing loss, muffled hearing, blocked Eustachian tube

Symptoms I did have:

• Uneven tinnitus, and left Eustachian tube not popping as easily.

I had two audiograms that confirmed no hearing loss and Type A tymps which according to ENTs are good.

The tinnitus was the WORST but almost a year later it has reduced to a point where I am not as anxious about it, but still I'd like it to recover more. Is the tinnitus improvement a good sign of recovery?
