Back to Robbie and Rex

I found a post from like 5 years ago about what their relationship was, but during my rewatch I can’t stop thinking about how Rex is constantly DOGGING on Robbie. If Rex is supposed to help his self esteem, I feel like he tears Robbie down more than building him up/coping. I guess it could be a way to speak it so you can fight the thoughts, but Robbie just takes it and moves on.

Rex becomes the target of his nightmares for a bit too. I guess it could be like a way to separate negative self talk from oneself if Robbie struggled with demonizing himself or something.

I need to discuss this more, but it is 430am. I’m excited to chat

Cystine day one

I’m really wanting to quit because of health issues and also I’m just tired of it. I hate hiding it from my family and I’m moving into the healthcare field(finally) and smoke breaks aren’t supa common for cancer research folk.

Anyways, I got the recigar cystine tablets off amazon and took the first course today. I already felt less of the pull to my vape, but I still have the hand to mouth. I didn’t know that was such a big thing for me.

I’m really excited this time too, seeing how it’s already helped with reducing my vape hits today is nice. If someone would’ve told me that I can quit vaping “easily” for the price of 2 vapes, I would’ve done this years ago. Well I never would’ve started but that’s a whole thing.

Anyways, I wanted to share for anyone on the fence about it! I have to be careful about meds right now because there’s just too much with my health, but this is going well for me at the moment! Planning to ditch the vape by day 3 if not tomorrow!

Young with mobility aide

So I(21f) have noticed this a lot since I’ve been using my cane more and more. I’m just in a bad flare, hopefully. But I’ve been to doctor’s offices and labs often. I just use a cane and can navigate decently easily, but I’ve noticed a LOT of old folks will just watch me struggle with doors/let them close in my face(they noticed me because I’d see them staring.

I know it’s probably the “she’s faking it for attention” or “she’s too young” but it’s funny because that’s the generation that boasts how we show no respect or they’re mad if we don’t do those things for them.

On the other hand, all of my friends and even people I just meet(I’ve been going to a Kava bar a lot!) are the exact opposite. They’ll grab my bag for me, they love that my canes are named (Canello and Canella), the tenders will run from around the counter to the door to get it for me, etc. there is such a community among young people, and the old farts are just straight up cruel due to their own assumptions.

Has anyone one else who is/looks younger and uses a mobility aid(cane, walker, wheelchair, etc) experienced this difference?

Little complaint: bruh it’s not like AT 21 YEARS OLD I WANT TO USE A CANE BC I CANT WALK BUT I GOTTA SO STOP STARING UNLESS YOURE GONNA SAY SOMETHING YOU FARTBAG… needed to get it out. I think I should start just saying, “my leg is not functional because I saved an old lady from a runaway bus” or some crap and make them uncomfy.
