A friend wanted a lanyard with the ”dragon egg” pattern but that one is 16 cards and too wide. I found a very similar pattern on twisted threads for 12 cards and that makes a perfect width for lanyards and bracelets. Since I made the band way too long I had enough for two bracelets but who is complaining? 😍
I live on an island on the west coast of Sweden. A friend of mine asked if I could make her a bracelet that reminds her of the island. I hope she will like this one. 🌊

I made earth and fire in mercericed cotton and ice in linnen. It’s interesting how the material changes the outcome. I love the colours of ice but I think I prefer the pattern when it’s made out of cotton. All bands are made of four colours (and black) the pictures doesn’t really show them.
I’m trying the Sulawesi technique for the first time. I really love this pattern with de dancing crabs! 🦀
This band ismade in mercericed cotton size 8 in ice blue and gold/beige. It turned out really difficult to photograph but I did my best around the house! I will turn it into a lanyard and a bracelet.

I tried making my own pattern in Twisted threads and I know it’s not groundbreaking but I’m so pleased by how it turned out, I will have to make more! Since there is so many patterns with Dublin dragons I decided to make one called Dragon egg, just for fun. It also looks a bit like stained glass.
I have made some custom made lanyards for my hudband, brother in law and friend with their special requested colours. It was fun to make them with colours I would'nt normally pick and to see how good they turned out. A bonus picture of some of my bands all together.
