But I was soooo careful!!

I somehow managed to thread this EXACTLY upside down and backwards. So, um, go me? 😂 As you can see it took me a while to figure out what was going on.

Just kind of sitting here stunned at my own talent wondering how to proceed. Play it where it lies? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Absolute beginner

So im Super new and this is my first ever try. I did something wrong over all and it didn’t work out like I thought at all so I’m just kind of playing around now.

In the picture you can see there’s a thread right in the middle (that’s going over the thread I would expect there (there’s kind of a hole in the weave is the closest I know how to describe it).
Can someone explain to me how it got there?

Thanks in advance!

Pattern is pixelated not smooth

Hello Warped Weavers! I could use some competent help. I've done a fair amount of Inkle weaving, but only a few tablet weaving. I'm just figuring out how it actually works, but at this point it seems like sorcery to me. I was struggling getting the pattern to work, but finally got that sorted. Wohoo!
But now the right side of the band the patterns look pixelated. I want it smooth like the bottom. I tried flipping all my cards around so it reversed the S and Zs, but that looked awful so I flipped them back.
Why is the underside smooth but the top pixelated? Can I fix it? Is there a different way to rotate the cards so the bottom achieves the pattern and is smooth?
I hope I'm making sense. Thank you for your help.

Problem with the pattern

Hello all,

i'm fairly new to tabletweaving, but i like challenges, and my dear friend ask for a headband with this kind of pattern.

I found the screenshot of the GTT for it, but i don't understand the threading pattern. I tried to recreate it in Twisted Threads, but it didn't work out for me.

If someone could help me understand the pattern, i would bee rather grateful :)

Thank you all, have a great day!

My first two projects/looking for beginner advice

I discovered this craft earlier this week and found myself kinda obsessed with it, which is super refreshing considering my creative/art block lately.

my first one is on the left and is 4 cards made of the yarn I use for making crochet plushies. the one on the right is 8 cards made of embroidery floss split in half and is supposed to just be stripes instead of a real pattern attempt.

I'm wondering what yarn thickness i should invest in, and how it'd be possible to build a small/simple loom right now.

embroidery floss isn't economical enough, and my acrylic yarn is too thick and feels gross in the finished product.

I definitely need a loom as I'm too fidgety for the belt method to keep me interested in this as a hobby for long, plus I keep messing up the tension with the belt method.

this is a pretty cool hobby though, I like how it's one that's been passed down for so long as a skill through written and oral traditions.

Band #9

Using the Hallstatt 3 pattern for band #8 I made a little mistake and decided to keep it instead of undoing the wrong lines. I actually liked this mistake and decided to make a band with it.

It's double row 6 and 8 in the Hallstatt 3 pattern (1/2/3/4/5/6/6/7/8/8/9/10/11/12)

Question about durability

Would a tablet woven band be strong enough to hold the weight of multiple hand sewn bells? I'm planning on experimenting and creating a pair of boot straps for renaissance faires that have small bells attached to them, but most of the straps I see are either made of chainmail or crochet. My current thread options are 8/2 Carpet warp thread, Peaches and Creme yarn, or size 10 crochet thread.
