I wanted to see what would happen if I used sewing thread and I really like the results, but I’m terrified about snapping any of the threads.

I write semi-lit on discord and respond on average every day but I will communicate when I can’t, I’m CST timezone. I’m dyslexic so there will be typos but I try to write grammatically correct in rp. I don’t do NSFW unless I’m very comfortable and it’s earned, so this is majorly SFW. I like angst and fluff and all that’s in between. I love talking about AUs after stuff is set up as well as talking about our characters.

I’m thinking about weaving some writing for my next project but I can’t find a pattern that says how much space is taken up with each letter in order to plan what I want to say. Does anyone have experience with a pattern and can tell me?

Fantasy/Romantasy setting: in this, Melrose is the eldest princess but the line of succession is currently planning on skipping her in favor of her terrible younger brother Mikal, so currently she is running the kingdom in proxy of her father and brother but getting no thanks for it. Your character is preferably someone who has semi frequent contact with a princess (assistant, knight, jester, ect) and is determined to get her to open up and relax.
Modern Superhero setting: ala a Miraculous Ladybug love square plot, Melrose is a lawyer by day, superhero by night. Your character is also a secret superhero, with one side of them liking one side of Melrose’s persona and vice versa, but neither know the other’s identities. We can start with them meeting each other for the first time.

I’m looking for a floor inkle loom but I’d like one with a sanded/smooth finish (the only people I know don’t do that and for sensory reasons I need it to be smooth) any recommendations?
Had so much fun with this pattern, the most complex I’ve done so far and I think it came out great!
My most complicated pattern yet, the first one I did where each line was completely different for the whole pattern, and I had so much fun! It looks great as a belt and I think if I ever did it again I would alter the pattern slightly to remove a few floats.
Also, I’m looking to get a bigger loom cause I keep wasting like 8” of thread each time I do a pattern due it getting knotted at the and I’m unable to reach in the small spaces the loom creates, so if anyone has recommendations let me know!

I’ve tried a variety of patterns but now to figure out what to do with them so I’ll start making them with a project in mind now
I’m hoping to go to my first larp event this fall and so I’m starting to make what character I want to be. It’s a stereotypical dnd/fantasy/ren faire setting. I most likely will be a bard, but it’s possible I’ll be a potion seller or squire.
For context, I am agender (they/them) and I go by Script in real life, so I’d like to go by a name that’s not inherently gendered but I’m concerned about having one too similar to my chosen name as that feels it defeats the point. Like, having a pun on writing for a bard feels a bit too close.
Does anyone have any ideas for a bard, potion seller, or squire?
