Bosch 300 series DR error - ... is it time to get a guy?

I've been getting bugged by the infamous DR error on-and-off for years now. Although dryer has been ultimately getting the job done amidst some stopping and restarting, it's gotten to a point where it drives me nuts. I've watched a good 10+ videos on this (since it seems a common issue) and I've done all the following multiple times: cleaned the lint filter, taken out and cleaned the condenser filter, cleaned out the drain pump (the area with the annoying little board that you have to ply open) with towels and removed all the lint I could, and done some thorough reach-around in that tiny little, pain-in-my-butt sump pump area. It has helped somewhat but never eliminated the issue. Once finally I got curious and ran the dryer while the sump pump area is still open and took a video. You can see the video here: it looks like the water is not getting drained; instead of going out the pump, it kind of just circles around in the area. I guess it's safe to say that there's something wrong with the drainage (lol).

Does this mean that it's finally time for me to give up trying to fix it myself and ... get a guy to come in to take care of it?

Thanks everybody.

Don't touch me, stranger!

I've been curious about this even though it's not like this is a huge issue for our boy. Our 1.5-year-old kiddo is the most loving dog in the world (as I'm sure every single other Cav owner on this Reddit feels the same way but I'm not gonna apologize for it!). He loves everyone in the family and enjoys cuddling with everyone. He also has a liking for everyone outside of the family: he would often stop in his tracks to stare at strangers on the street and wag his tail at them randomly. The one thing, though, and I can't wrap my head around this, is how he would look so interested and happy when strangers interact with him, but would immediately dodge when the strangers try to pet him on the head. He would evade the pet but then continues to wag and smile at the person. If he was more fearful of strangers I'd understand more, but he's otherwise genuinely excited when strangers show him attention on the street. Is this just personal preference on my dog's part, that he doesn't like personal touch too much unless it's us in the family, or does it sound odd to you all, too?

Doesn't matter too much either way as he's still our loving and lovable boy regardless, but we did have some slight hopes that maybe one day he can be trained into being a therapy doggie lol
