Do not re-hire changes
I used to be employed by Sainsburys as a Band 3 - Unbeknown to me, when I left Sainsburys - I was placed on a Do not Re-Hire list 5 years ago. I've recently been successful in a band 5 role appointment, however upon trying to complete the recruitment onboarding process of generating a contract, it has now flagged that I was on a Do not re-hire list and the rulings have changed for overturning this.
I have hired persons in the past who flag for a DNR, but made contact with ER to have this overturned. According to the Area manager, ER are now stating that this can't be overturned and that it's not as straight forward as it once was. I've been waiting a couple of weeks now, with no contract generated.
Has anyone recently experienced this? I'm being re-assured that the job is mine, but this is causing me some concern as I had already completed my noticed at my previous employment and have concerns financially/job security wise and it's taking longer than expected.
