Is touching the water?

Is touching the water?

.…difficult? I had no idea, this was a thing that people did until I watched this happen from the mountains above Lake Tahoe. At first I thought something was wrong and they were in trouble. In this case that boat is near the balloon ended up positioning itself underneath it and the balloon got curled up onto the deck. I imagine this must be a very difficult thing to pull off. Can any experienced ballooners talk about the challenges and sills involved?

First time writer

I feel like these questions have all been asked a million times and there is probably a post that is exactly this conversation but I couldn't find it. Maybe this will be that post going forward.

So this is my first book and I have some general questions.

  1. Is it worth running hardcover first?

  2. I'm using KDP. It looks like that is everyone here's preference. Are there any compelling arguments for other paths?

  3. On the KDP platform is it easy to create the same work as a digital, hard and softcover book? Or do I need to basically recreate it and reformat for each form?

  4. Do I need to pay retail price for physical copies of my book? How do I go about getting inventory of this besides people just buying it through amazon?

  5. Is there a system within KDP for adding attached PDFs or do I need to house those files somewhere in the cloud myself?

  6. I have an editor that I like but if you have recommendations I'd love to hear them.

In case the details influence your answers to these questions, it's a book on the Five Elements, a specific philosophic and archetypal matrix that is useful in personal development and health in Chinese Medicine. It will be sold and distributed in my clinic to my patients and serve as a workbook for my work, but also will be assessable and useful to laypeople without guidance from a clinician. Thank you for anyone who can take the time to guide a naive newbie in this pursuit.

What are all these sounds this car makes?

There are so many different whirrings and clicks and buzzes. I kind of love it. It’s like R2D2. There’s the clicky sort of grinding sound of the brake actuator. I know that one. There’s also a long term sound that happens after I turn it off. A grey constant hum or buzz coming from the engine compartment. There are a few relays in the back when I turn the car on. I wish I knew what they all were. Can you identify any of them for me? 2009.
