Decisive weeks and matches ahead and Ache out for 3-4 weeks + Dallinga out completely with an ACL injury. What a blow. In an ideal world this could at least provide some unity which the club was lacking before and create some kind of us vs. them mentality. Personally I'd like to see El Mala up front now and Heskey at least on the bench. No way he's not a threat against most Bundesliga teams from the 70th minute onward...

The international break not only annoys us supporters but the club can do no real work with El Mala, Johannesson, Mensah, Lochoshvili, Okon-Engstler, JSP, Moore, Heskey, and van den Berg gone. Annoying especially since I can't imagine Gladbach having a single international player (please don't correct me). They are having the perfect derby prep with their new coach. Doesn't matter still a must win...

Maybe the time for some feedback regarding globalscoreboard? From the outside it looks like it's finally something that works and it even has friendlies.

Matchday. Pokal vs. Würzburg tonight at 18:00. Finally the wait is over!

Mikey Moore transfer seems to be stuck because of De Zerbi and FC is still missing an alternative for Mensah. Somewhere I read the name Mitchel Bakker but can't even find a credible source for this now. Mensah appears to be in a bit of a slump atm after the World Cup and everything. I hope fans and media give him some time...

Btw. there is a "women" flair now for all the posts regarding the women's team to avoid confusion. Reddit is also pushing the global scoreboard thing heavily. Maybe we'll have to try it out again (after it never worked) or maybe good old MatchThreadder (last active during the WC...).

Two losses in the two friendlies against Paderborn hopefully provide the final wake-up-call for the start into the season next Monday. 0 movements transfer-wise. There is a downside - 10, 6 & 9 - and an upside - El Mala - to this.

FC beat Real Sociedad two times and the first official game against Kickers Würzburg is slowly coming closer: 24.08.26 18:00

Many young players - David Fürst and Patrik Kristal just to name two - seem to be very close to the pros. Some gaps in the squad still need to be filled, especially in midfield. Meanwhile Dortmund is applying pressure regarding El Mala but FC is standing strong (for now).

The training camp and the season opening festivities are offically done but FC isn't ready to actually start the season. A couple of incoming transfers are yet to be done.

Interestingly enough, the final friendlies are against Real Sociedad two times: The first game will take place behind closed doors (on Friday?) and the second time next Saturday 15:30.

FC's training camp in Austria is in full swing. A lot of young players got a chance to travel with the first team: David Fürst, Jonathan Friemel, Kristiyan Irmiev, Patrik Kristal, Mike Afri Akumu and Nilas Yacobi. Also, a friendly against Hertha BSC Berlin on Friday (31.07.2026 - 12:00) has been confirmed. Looks like the quality of the friendlies is (slowly) increasing.
