24h post revision update!

24h post revision update!

I’m hoping I’ll still be able to see that definition when the bruising and swelling is gone, but so far I am over the moon! I will continue to update thru my revision recovery! 🫶🏻

I got a revision today at 6mo PO

I was a smidge bit uneven, left side looked good, but right side still had some fat. I don’t see a lot of revision follow up/talk, so hopping to be that person in case others are wondering too!

Top pics are my before and “after/day of revision” (1 week shy of 6 months PO)

Yes, I went to the same doctor.
Yes, it was free of charge.
He went in by the jaw/ear when last time he went in thru the chin.
I was asleep for both procedures.
Full disclosure, I have lost 20lbs on a GLP1 between my two pics. I stayed on this medication thru both my surgeries.

Ask me any questions, but I won’t take my garment off until my 24h appt tomorrow. :)

Revision in the AM! Healing any different?

Is the healing any different the second time around? I’m going to have different incision locations, hopefully to go around some scar tissue. Any tips?

Positive experiences?

I’ve been on 2mg aripip for 5 weeks after trialing (and ending) 3 SSRI’s. I’m on 5mg memantine also. My anxiety finally feels manageable?! The only things I’m unsure if they’re just adjustments or negative effects are: mild/ random boredom, super short spikes of frustration (like uber annoyed at chores or emails), and fragmented sleep.
• I would love to hear people’s positive experiences on this medicine because there are soooooooooo many negative ones. I’d love to hear what it was like in the beginning/adjustment you experienced!

13 weeks PO

I’m so thankful my little egg buddy isn’t hanging around with me everyday now!

8wk PO before + after

I have more swelling in my right side than my left side, so when I post an ‘after’ from the right side, I sometimes get rude comments, and when I post a pic from the left side people go OMG who was your doc! So, quick little reminder to everyone on this sub: be kind to one another. 🤍 Debated stopping posting because of it, but lurkers will be lurkers and we’re all just here to share our journeys, right?
I got a steroid injection on my right side today, so fingers crossed!
