Alastor's "clever" plan

There are some things i do not understand with alastors plan:

1.CHOOSING VOX.WHY?WHERE DID THIS EVEN COME FROM. He didnt know ANYTHING about vox's plan, literally nothing. How was he so sure vox can achieve all that?how was he so sure he will have the chance to become the strongest sinner?he literally called him a nobody. In the past he did say he respected him and that his ideas were decent but in the present he mocked them several times doesnt this mean he actually believed in vox's plan and that he doesnt actually find them hideous?because why would he trust his freedom with that?

  1. His certainty with the fact that vox WILL place his hands on charlie ;They were friends 70 YEARS AGO even if that was a habbit of vincent to place his hands on others so much which it probably was because of the flashback bar scene WHY WOULD ALASTOR REMEMBER THAT?after their friendship ended they just became rivals i know vox probably stalked alastor but i doubt alastor did so at best they may have met each other during overlord meetings perhaps?why would alastor pay attention to vox during them?Alastor and voxs first meeting in person after 7 years is when vox comes to visit the hotel, alastor immediately blends into the shadows and husk later says hes probably lurking around somewhere in the shadows so lets assume he was watching vox that entire time, ALASTOR STILL CAME UP WITH THE PLAN IN THE CANNIBAL PARK he didnt have that plan in his mind all along so why would he even pay so much attention to the fact that vox touches charlie alot?

3-How was alastor so confident that vox wont actually permanently harm him (using angelic weaponary) or just kill him (when he first got his hands on might of lilith or stab him to death by angelic weaponary) after he becomes his prisoner?lets assume alastor was always aware of how much vincent cared about him which i doubt ,THEYRE STILL ENEMIES?They were fighting for DECADES. Vox literally told him he will destroy him infront of all of hell and alastor still believed he will be safe and will be able to succesfully get under voxs skin?

4-why does he offer to become his PRISONER?why not offer to just join the vees?that way it would have been less risky aswell?

5-HOW IS ALASTOR SO AWARE OF VOX'S INSECURITY AND OBSESSION WITH HIS APPROVAL? There was absolutely nothing stopping vox from just not listening to alastor he could have just electrocuted him each time alastor mocked him or tried getting under his skin, he could have just put alastor in another room and not carry him around with himself but alastor somehow knew he would be able to have the chance to talk to vox, mock him, get under his skin AND ACTUALLY INFLUENCE HIS CHOICES?

So with all of these being said, how did alastor trust his influence on vox so much to the point he would risk his freedom or perhaps life on it?how was he so sure the guy that he's been fighting for years and wants him dead wont actually kill him?did he just risk everything??how can he read vox and see through him so well?or is this some kind of plot armour?CUZ WHY IS HE ABLE TO READ VOX SO WELL WHEN THEY ARENT EVEN FRIENDS OR CLOSE ANYMORE AND HES BEEN GONE FOR 7 YEARS. This plan kind of goes against everything he said he believes in because he's not only trusting the fact that vox won't kill him and will listen to him hes also trusting vox's plan to work out aswell.
