Question: how does Michigan keep their lakes fish-free?
Title. I've never understood how they manage to do it.
Finland will abolish Helsinki as capital city in 2027, Euronews reports
Finland is getting rid of Helsinki as its capital city starting in 2027. This seems like the first time a country has done something like that on purpose. Officials point to costs and the environment as big reasons for spreading government work around instead of keeping it all in one spot.
Work will move to other cities like Tampere taking on a lot of the main tasks. Some places will handle education while others focus on tech. It might cut down on crowding and emissions but the setup feels messy in parts. Parliament is using temporary spots for meetings until they figure out something better.
People have different views on whether this is smart. Some think it will balance things out across Finland while others worry about the mess during the change. The prime minister mentioned the goals in a talk but there is not much on when each step happens. It feels like not all the pieces are settled yet.

A warning about Xteink
Just wanted to leave this out there.
I ordered a Xteink X3, but it went wrong. I’m sure it’s the logistics company’s fault, but the communication by Xteink has been… disappointing to say the least. Here’s a timeline:
April 7: I order. Site says shipping starts by April 24.
April 27: I ask Xteink for an update since I hadn’t heard anything yet. Might’ve been impatient of me. I never received an answer.
May 6: Mailed them again.
May 7: I receive a tracking link.
May 15: the tracking hadn’t updated, it seems the parcel is stuck or lost. Xteink finally answer, saying they’ll investigate and get back to me. But they don’t reach back out to me.
May 27: I ask if there’s any update, and inform them I’ll be issuing a chargeback if they can’t come up with a solution.
June 2: Xteink apologises and promises to give me an update on June 7. That was a lie, as I never heard from them again.
A few days later my bank approved my chargeback request.
It’s really disappointing because I’d rather have my X3 than the money. I can’t really reorder though, because the money I paid originally will get deducted again if my order of April 7 does end up getting delivered. My trust in this company has also diminished, though I’d be willing to give them a second chance.
But no ereader for me, it seems.
My order never arrived.
