Sometimes being a Pisces feels like a curse. Anyone else feeling isolated and adrift?

Sometimes being a Pisces feels like a curse. Anyone else feeling isolated and adrift?

I wanted to vent here. I think, and I have a feeling, that I've screwed up my future. My "master" plan to get ahead seems to have failed. I dedicated a whole year to studying and promised my mother I would repay her for her help while I was unemployed. A Virgo acquaintance had already told me, "This plan won't work," but because of my ego and pride, I kept going. Now that I've managed to pass this monstrous exam, I'm realizing I'm useless when it comes to practical skills. It was a huge mistake because I should have practiced instead of getting bogged down in theory. That Virgo acquaintance had told me, "Mastering this takes years of practice, and memorizing theory is useless." I feel like my life is blocked. Damn... I don't know what's happening, but this month has been awful. I don't know why they say 2026 and beyond is when Pisces will triumph... I feel like I'm getting punched in the face. This subreddit is my only little corner of the internet. I don't have anyone I can trust to talk to. These days, if you don't have at least a job, you lose all possibility of making friends, you lose your right to have an opinion. Haha, damn, this dilemma I have sucks. You know, I'm even envying the other signs and not really liking being a Pisces...

Imposter syndrome in Pisces

I’m a Pisces, and I face a major dilemma: I never finish projects. I always stop just when I’m close to succeeding; I tend to run away when things get "tense"—especially in a professional setting. Imposter syndrome has been my Achilles' heel; I think Pisces have a weakness for self-sabotage and fleeing. I just earned a tech certification and am now moving from theory to practice, but I’m realizing I did things backward, and I have this feeling I’m going to fail all over again. I don’t want to run, but my mind wants to escape to another planet—to just bolt. I’m terrified of the future. I’m writing this here because I don’t have any friends, nor do I have emotional or empathetic support from the people I live with. I feel like I’m waiting to be sent to the electric chair, haha. Has any other Pisces gone through something like this? Is suffering from imposter syndrome a Pisces thing?

Overwhelmed by hands-on learning: Recommendations for structured, real-account courses

Hey everyone,

I've been reading advice here suggesting that we skip sandbox environments and build directly in our own personal AWS accounts to get real console experience and learn budget management firsthand.

I want to follow this path, but jumping straight in without a clear roadmap makes me feel like I’m "flying blind." On top of that, I keep reading that I should also be learning AWS CLI and Terraform alongside labs, which is feeling pretty overwhelming right now.

For those who built practical experience on a real account:

  1. Which guided courses, platforms, or GitHub repos offer clear, step-by-step hands-on projects (with explicit setup AND cleanup instructions so I don't get surprised by a bill)?
  2. What is the logical order to approach this? Should I stick strictly to the AWS Management Console first before touching the CLI or Terraform?

I really want to build practical confidence alongside my study, but I need a structured path so I don't waste time going in circles. Any advice or resource recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Pass the SAA!

Honestly, I thought I was going to fail (although this would practically be considered a failure, haha).

The feeling of having done everything wrong on the exam, as some have mentioned, is very real. You'll really feel that.

My experience with AWS is minimal; I'm new to AWS.

My preparation took a year, from scratch. I skipped Cloud Practitioner based on recommendations I read.

I used Adrian Catrill's course, which literally took me about 5 months to complete 100%.

I had Maarek, but I found it difficult because I feel it's more focused on those who already have more knowledge or work in the field.

With Adrian, it was like my cloud preschool; I recommend it for anyone who wants to get started.

I used TD, and my initial scores were 40-45%. On my second attempt, my averages were 69-73%. TD really helps a lot with training, but you have to be very careful because if you do the practice tests too many times, you'll start memorizing and it will give you a false sense of confidence. To avoid this, I would take practice exams of 5 questions at a time, which took me a week to complete. When I finished an exam, I would ask Gemini to generate flashcards for the questions I got wrong, but with a different situation or problem than the TD question, while maintaining the core concept. With this method, I made 1733 flashcards!

Another thing I wanted to add is that English is not my native language; I don't speak it, and when I saw the first TD question, it was like looking at hieroglyphics! I didn't even know what they were talking about! So I had to translate it in my mind first and then find a logical way to deduce the answer!

A technique for the exam that worked for me, and that Adrian teaches, is to try to see all the questions on the exam! That is, when you start and you don't even know what the first question is, skip it! Keep going, try to go through it quickly, don't take more than 2 minutes! When you get to question 65, that's when the real battle begins! That first pass warms up your mind and makes the concepts you've learned clear, and then you start from the back and work your way up! I had 12 minutes to spare before finishing.

This subreddit is great!

I'm 100% available for any questions!

Do Pisces cringe at other Pisces?

I recently started reflecting on my past actions, my few interactions in the last few weeks, and a concern came to me: "Do Pisces feel aversion or cringe when another Pisces talks about feeling or seeking companionship?" I honestly tell them I'm looking for someone, but mentioning it to other Pisces is making me doubt myself. I've chatted with a couple of Pisces, and they open up quite a bit. I ask a lot of questions about them to understand and empathize, but when I open up (I even sense beforehand that something unpleasant is coming, but I do it anyway because, theoretically, the other person is a Pisces), they say, "Uh, do you really feel that way?" It leaves me with a bitter impression; you come across as if you've said the most embarrassing thing in the world, a complete feeling of humiliation. I don't want to generalize, but this is making me close myself off to more Pisces. I understand that Pisces are different because of our moon, ascendant, and other factors, but is it that to deal with empathetic Pisces, as the theory suggests, you just have to be lucky? What do you think? Have you ever felt like you're on alert, like an alarm bell is ringing, that it's a bad idea to talk to another Pisces? Perhaps we act as a mirror for each other, and seeing someone else express a need for connection activates their own defense mechanisms?

Does anyone else get scared by your "casual" questions?

Lately, I've been thinking and remembering things. Two people have written to me asking for advice about their Pisces crushes. When we chat and I ask them questions, I notice they get scared and go from being very happy to suddenly losing their enthusiasm and speaking very curtly as a defensive measure. These people are Pisces Moons. This happens to me a lot when I meet someone for the first time. I always ask questions about the person so the conversation is about them and I enjoy the chat, but I don't know if I unintentionally ask a very "weird" question. I don't mention anything sexual (I'm uncomfortable talking about sex with someone new). In fact, I talk to my mother, who is a Libra, and suddenly, after a question I ask her, she looks away and quickly shifts her gaze from side to side, and I'm left feeling scared and anxious, thinking I've said something that might have upset her.

Is anyone else experiencing this in chat rooms?

I've been going through something lately that's been on my mind. I've been alone for a couple of months now, since I decided to cleanse my life of empty friendships that made me feel terrible. I'm down to zero social circles, WhatsApp is dead, and I deleted my social media accounts. The first week I felt like, "Damn, I'm going to die alone!" After a few months, I felt very peaceful, but the "Damn, I'm going to die alone!" turned into "Hmm, I'm going to die alone" 🤣. Now I felt like my personality was more genuine. I felt like myself again without having to force myself to be liked by everyone, and it felt great. It just so happens that the Pisces in this subreddit are really cool. I've felt this intense urge to chat! I'm a Pisces, by the way! (Pisces sun, Aquarius moon, and Virgo rising). When someone replies to one of my comments in this subreddit, I get super excited! lol and I keep long threads in the comment until the other Pisces says "it was great chatting with you, good luck!" me: damn don't go! hahahahah!😆 I don't know if it's a Pisces thing to feel this "crumbly" behavior, what do you think? Has it happened to you? Is it seasonal? Will I live? 😆

Are Pisces different from one another?

I don't know where to start; I think I have about three topics to post about, hahaha.

A week ago, a girl messaged me via Reddit DM because she had some questions about Pisces—she's dating one, and she's a Leo ♌ herself. Without getting into the weeds of her situation, it seemed to me like the relationship is going to end badly; I got a bad vibe from it. Anyway... she mentioned, "I'm a Leo Sun and Pisces Moon..." which left me confused.

One thing I noticed about her was that she was quite open emotionally. My past experiences with Leos had always been with people who weren't very sensitive—the "I'm strong and I project that" type—but this girl expressed herself very emotionally. When I asked her about the "Sun and Moon" thing, she introduced me to the concept of "the Big Three."

Personally, I used to only focus on my base sign (Pisces), but I’ve always noticed that some Pisces are vastly different from one another. I’ve run into cold Pisces, bullying Pisces, and Pisces with Scorpio-like attitudes, which always made me wonder: "Why on earth aren't they like me?!" >

Learning about how the Moon and Rising signs modify our base energy completely changed my perspective on why our sign has such a wide spectrum. I'd love to know how other Pisces here feel the influence of different Moon or Rising elements in their own lives? Do you feel like your full chart changes the typical "water sign" stereotypes? >

I'm still trying to figure out how to properly read a chart (tools like AstroSeek are a bit overwhelming at first!), but I'm curious to hear how the community navigates these differences.

living in reality

It's been a month since I've been alone. I made a post here about my first week without friends, well... now I feel people's malice. Before, because I wanted to please or be "socially acceptable," I'd play dumb when I saw something malicious and end up trapped in their strategies and manipulation. Now I'm aware of not only their malice but, I think (maybe it's paranoia, haha) also their insecurities. During this time, I've felt more at peace being alone with my own affairs and not trying to please or get attention. However, I've realized that throughout my life, no one has genuinely sought me out, no one has sincerely asked how I am. I was always the one asking, even painfully remembering those friends, "Hey, I'm reminding you that tomorrow is my birthday 😅" because I knew no one would. I know that everyone has to take care of themselves and that no one will come to protect us, but I've seen how people defend their loved ones, how they support them, seeing that kind of "tribe" that's there. Not even my father and mother have ever... I've been defended, including by my siblings, but they defend and protect themselves, but not me. Sometimes I feel like I'm a bad person or someone hateful, but luckily I'm aware of the need to be careful from now on. I'm somewhat sad and disappointed by people; this is the only subreddit where they haven't been so harsh and violent in responding to comments. Maybe it's our nature as Pisces.
