Why is my striker failing to score?

Here's my tactic, Roque is a 3.5-star AF but has been on a streak of like 7 games without scoring. What am I doing wrong?

Played a pressing, higher tempo passing game and scored. 2nd most goals for (95) and least goals conceded (37). I doubt I can just keep this up in the Premier League. Is my best bet to just luck out with good transfers?
