Safety drum fitment issue

Doing a slide swap on a gen 1 44mag. Bought a new slide on Numrich due to the original slide cracking. But the safety drum from the original doesn't wanna fit the "new" slide. If I buy a safety drum on numrich, will it fit on the frame? Or am I just fucked?
