Bermuda Scalping Help

Hello all! Last year I bought a new construction home (Atlanta, GA) and for the first time in my life I have a strictly Bermuda grass lawn. I’ve been following UGA’s guidelines for feeding, pesticides, herbicides etc. and religiously mowing and watering my lawn. During the last two months I’ve been mowing at 2 inches 2-3 times a week and up until yesterday’s mow this hasn’t happened to me. My yard has terrible grading so I know it will never look perfect but I have yet to have a problem with how much brown is showing through now.

Do I scalp and reset the lawn this late in August or do I just increase the height of my rotary mower deck until it’s ready to go dormant? I’m not confident in my ability to fix how poorly graded this yard is.
