Please tell me about your 37 week deliveries
I have just been diagnosed with preeclampsia at 36+0 and am probably being induced 37+0 (maybe a few days later).
Did you give birth of any kind (spontaneous, induction, C-section) at 37 weeks? How was it? How was the baby? Did it need time in the NICU? If you had planned on breastfeeding, did you have any issues?
I had an induction at 38+3 with my first baby, which was an overall good experience, but we had a very difficult start to breastfeeding. It took us 12 weeks to get her to latch on at all, I was pumping (miniscule amounts) round the clock etc.
We got there in the end, but now I have an older child to look after too, I don't think I'll be able to dedicate that much time and energy to breastfeeding if it doesn't work.
Basically I'm worried about the baby being immature still (even though 37 weeks is considered early term), and all of us having a difficult start.
