Trying to identify the Fuji recipe used for this soft countryside look.

Saw these photos and really loved the mood and rendering.
The tones feel soft, airy, calm, and slightly pastel — especially the greens and highlights.

My guess is maybe:
• Classic Chrome or Nostalgic Neg base
• lowered contrast
• softened clarity
• warm highlights / muted greens

But I’m not sure.

Does anyone recognize a Fujifilm recipe that creates a similar look? Or maybe editing style + lens combination?

Curious what you all think.

Fujifilm XT-5 + XF35mm f1.4R

Hi everyone,

I’m a 36-year-old Filipino living in Japan for the past 8 years. Recently, I decided to get back into photography as a hobby after being away from it for more than a decade.

Work and life commitments kept me busy for years, but I realized I needed something therapeutic and relaxing again. Photography used to give me that sense of calm and creativity, so I thought this was the right time to pick it back up.

After doing a lot of research, I decided to enter the Fujifilm world with the Fujifilm X-T5 and the XF 35mm f/1.4, which I managed to get from a really good online deal. I already know about the lens’ slower autofocus compared to newer Fujinon lenses, but I still chose it because of the character, rendering, and overall shooting experience people often describe.

I wanted a setup that stays simple, fun, and enjoyable to use without relying too much on Lightroom or heavy editing. My goal is to focus more on shooting and enjoying the process again.

For long-time users of the X-T5 + XF 35mm f/1.4 combo, what are your thoughts about this setup over time? What made you keep using it, and what advice would you give to someone who wants to fully enjoy this setup?

I’d also appreciate any tips regarding film simulations, autofocus settings, everyday carry habits, or simply how to get the best experience out of this setup.

Thanks, and I’m excited to learn from this community.
