I got my keffiyeh in the mail today, after ordering it months ago and forgetting about it. They’re made in Palestine and then have to get through the blockade to be delivered. It’s woven with the colors of the flag. I held it in my hands and realized that it may well end up being a last remnant of a lost nation, like Atlantis. I see a future where I have to explain what it is to my children. It just made me overwhelmingly sad, and there aren’t many people I can share that with. Heartbreaking.
