About M.tech in vlsi

M.Tech VLSI - confused between India (IIT/NIT) or Taiwan (NYCU/NTU). Taiwan has TSMC and strong chip industry but not sure about cost, admission, and jobs for international students. India's semiconductor scene is growing too but pay might be lower. Anyone done VLSI in either place? Is Taiwan actually worth it or is a good Indian college enough? Also any tips on scholarships or GATE vs direct admission would help.
