I wonder if anyone can help me? I am trying to find what the hell the right type of capacitor on an A4000 Rev B motherboard is in position C892.
I need a capacitor for the bottom of an A4000 Rev B motherboard. Specifically the C892 100nF capacitor. I can find all sorts of 100nF capacitors, but the voltages seem way off. I thought the A4000 motherboard was 12V and 5V, All I seem to find are 16V, 20V, 50V and so on available out there in strips.
The A4000 Rev B schematic show it as a 0.1 uF on a 5 volt rail https://www.amigawiki.org/dnl/schematics/A4000_Rb.pdf (page 13) but it doesn't say say what sort of capacitor it is (model/part number). I am no pro at reading schematics though.
I reached out to three different Amiga "repair centers" but none of them respond. I even offered to buy a main capacitor ceramic set along with a few of these (if they had them) or could even tell me what they are. Also offered to send in the motherboard for repair and pay them to replace the main caps and this one missing cap. No response from anyone.
I am hoping somebody here is much, much, smarter than me.
