I know of Ginza in Tokyo, but as for reputable dealers for these pieces I’m not sure.
I would like to avoid small pawnshop type locations and stick to professional merchants if possible since these types are common counterfeit targets. Thank you

I received this 8 Reales today from a reputable seller and I'm worried about it being a forgery. The weight is 26.9g, diameter ~39mm, thickness ~2.3mm, specific gravity matched my other 8 reales. The surface looks odd but it seems to just be old cleaning/polish
My main concern comes from the edge design overlaps. There appears to maybe be one point where it overlaps, but it could also be damage. 180 from that point on the otherside the motifs abruptly change size, but i’m not sure if this means anything.
What is all of your opinions? Thank you.
