[TOMT] Searching for a Hide and seek lift-the-flap children’s book from my childhood (possibly from early 2000s or earlier)
This has been driving me crazy! I’m looking for a book I used to love when I was little in the early 2000s. I don’t remember many details, although I believe it was about a boy(?) looking for specific object(s) around the house, and each page was a different room with lift-up flaps where you could see the different objects. IIRC, I think he had curly hair and wore pajamas, but I’m not too sure. The only image I can sort of recall is of the kitchen, which was very detailed and intricate, and at least one of the wooden cupboards/cabinets lifted up.
The book had beautiful, detailed hand drawn illustrations that were meant to look somewhat realistic and very cozy. The rooms were detailed/intricate but not complex or confusing. Not with bright colors or cartoon-y looking images, and the book is clearly meant for younger children, maybe age 3-4? I don’t believe there were other characters, and I don’t recall any animal characters either (but again, I may be wrong). I really can’t remember anything else about the book, although I believe the first page took place in the living room.
I have looked through many other Reddit posts with similar descriptions but none of them are a match. Please lmk if you can find this book, and thanks in advance!
