Stroller/car seat for rural life

We are expecting a baby in December in trying to decide what car seat/stroller combo to get. We live in a rural setting…. dirt/gravel road without any sidewalks nearby. In the winter our roads will be snowy/icy/slushy all winter. So I’m not anticipating stroller walks will be happening until spring summer and we will rely on using a carrier this winter.

I’m leaning towards the Doona because I think our primary stroller use will be running errands and travel, at least until the spring/summer. I realize then we will need to get something different if we want to walk with a stroller.

Any advice from parents who have winter babies in a similar situation? What did you do to start?
