MyTag not showing on second device/USB sync

Hi,

I recently finished building a nice library of tunes on my (main) computer and tagged them all via MyTag. Now I exported the relevant playlists to my USB stick and I want to use this stick to play stuff on the go using my laptop.

When I first plugged the USB into the laptop, I selected "Do Not Sync With My Tag" as basically everywhere on the internet people advise against doing so. If I understand correctly, if I clicked "Sync with My Tag", it would overwrite the MyTag values present on the USB with the values present on the laptop (which would just delete them i guess? since i dont have any songs stored directly on my laptop).

But now when I want to check the MyTag values of the songs I have stored on the USB (now plugged into the laptop), the icon is grayed out and the MyTag column in the song list is entirely empty. Plugged back into the main computer, all of this is back where it should be.

Am I misunderstanding something here? Some people are suggesting to just import my master library directly to the laptop for it to work, but that's not the point of using a USB is it?

Additionally, the key traffic light just doesn't seem to be a thing when viewing what's on your USB in the devices section, and it further makes me feel like I'm misunderstanding like a key point when it comes to the relation between your master library, the devices you play on and your USB.

With C&C and now 12GCG having had their deserved deluxe treatment and Rhino confirmimg more reissues like this are already on the horizon, it‘s probably safe to say that at some point in the future, most classic ween rarities people already know and love in low quality will be available on an official (re)release. I think we‘re really entering a real golden age here, if they keep up their streak!

Since there are just tons of tracks like these floating around on youtube etc., and I‘m sure lots of people here are familiar with a good chunk of them, how would you guys structure the tracklists for each albums bonus disc if you were in charge at Rhino? Which tracks just absolutely need to be on each one?
