In the Korean War, how did the hill positions work?

Hello! First time posting. I'm doing research on the Korean War for a work assignment and have been looking everywhere for a map that shows hill positions. This is my first real deep dive into the subject, so I'm struggling to understand some of the information I'm finding. I'm looking into a US army solider who was MIA on hill 287. I can't find a map or description anywhere that explains where this hill was or how these positions were created/named/changed. Does anyone have any information on the hill style warfare that happened during the Korean War?

Where could I find maps on the hill positions of the Korean War?

Hello! First time posting. I'm a park ranger with the NPS in DC and am going research for a visitor regarding the Korean War Memorial. We're researching a relative of theirs, and information I've found on them so far shows they went missing in action on October 12th 1951. My research points to their status being a result of Operation Commando; he fell somewhere on Hill 287. I've been looking everywhere for a map or description of the hill positions from the Korean War and haven't been able to find anything of much help. Did the hill numbers change often, or go by different names? Were they ever properly mapped out? I thought looking up position maps would be easier than this but I'm finding nothing that points to the location of hill 287 and what that position faced throughout the war (I know the area is south of the Imjin River and in the present DMZ, but that's it). I'm not a war historian by any means and would appreciate any help or pointers on how to research this further. Thanks!

Roommate won't clean the cats litter box often enough, need help fighting the smell

Hi all,

My roommate has two cats and two litter boxes; a small one in her bath room and a large one with magnetically closed doors/storage in the living room. The living room box smells horrible. At one point it would be multiple days/up to a week between it getting cleaned that I could see/tell.

I've asked that the box get cleaned more regularly than it has been and im not convinced she's done so; when I do end up cleaning it there's a lot of mess everywhere, stuff that's gotten outside the litter box, so on. She says its fine to clean every three days (which i don't even know if she's doing that) but I thought it was meant to be done daily?

Our lease is up in a short time so I'll be out of here soon and I'm tired of asking her to do something about it. What would work as a decent deodorizer/masking smell in the meantime? I've used cat safe candles that work well but I can only have them lit for so long. When it's at its worst I can hardly be in the living room, it sweeps across the room in waves and truly smells horrible.
