Opened my first ever hobby box
Could it be worse? Maybe... I'll stick to value boxes tho. Way more fun to open imo and it doesn't hurt that much if u don't hit good...

Opened a Topps merlin ucc 24/25 value box today and 1 of the 7 packs had just 2 cards while another one had 6 cards instead of 4. Is this just an error? On the booster pack it says "packs with a special insert may contain less cards". But I can't find anything special about any of the cards I got.

So, an old friend of mine called me 2 weeks ago and wanted me to take a look at his old Pokémon binder he found in his basement. I wouldn't consider myself a Pokémon expert but I do know some stuff...but I am kinda unsure what to tell him now. The cards look better on the photos...most of them have a lot of whitening on the edges and scratches on the surface...I would assume they are all like PSA 3s. Would you guys still grade these cards If you want to sell them? What's the estimated value on a Pokémon card that's played? I clearly don't take the raw price am I? Appreciate any help on this, thanks :)
