Glad I don’t have to eat the food my husband cooks.

My husband cooks his own meals. This is his cast iron pan. It has never been washed. He doesn’t pre-heat it either. Just takes a specific weight of ground beef or chicken and throws it unseasoned in this cold cast iron pan and then leaves it to cook. Flips it over about 3-4 times and has a pot lid covering it to help cook it faster.

Why don't outfielders keep their sunglasses on all the time?

I just saw a clip of Drew Gilbert from San Francisco missing a pretty routine catch in center field because he lost the ball in the sun. He had his huge sunglasses sitting on top of his hat and only put them on his face after missing the catch.

This isn't an isolated incident. I've seen or heard of several other cases this season. As a Cubs fan, I see PCA do this time to time and it frustrates me. Do players think that they lose some of their visual precision having them on between plays? Are all of these glasses more "form over function" and it's about looking cool?

Paying my kids to wash my records

I recently purchased a Spin Clean but getting through my 400+ collection has been a bit daunting. Meanwhile, two of my older kids (12M, 11F) are looking to earn some extra spending cash to use when they go out with friends this summer. So now I'm paying them $1 per record. They normally do them in batches of 12 since that's what our drying rack holds. They'll do a few batches per week so at this pace, they'll get through my collection before school goes back?!

Perhaps I'll come to regret this down the road but it's getting the job done and they make a few bucks. Win-Win
