Has anyone done any of those gay dinner events?
I've seen ads for OutClose and Mingleo, and Thursday also did a gay dinner recently. If anyone has done any of these, how was it?

Word on the street was line was long (as usual, despite being ticketed), people were waiting for like over an hour and then the fire alarm went off so they had to evacuate everyone and wait some more to get back in. If you went to Gay Rights...how was your night? lol
Idk if any drag queens or Church St DJs/bar staff read this sub but I wish they would play some lower volume background music while they talk. This isn't like a theatre show where everyone came to sit and watch, people are also there to socialize and may not be paying 100% attention. If you have minutes of no music it's a real energy vacuum (even if you're actively watching) and on top of that, it makes it harder to tune out the talking to focus on your conversation. Even on the radio, they have background music when they talk, it's a very normal thing.
If you do this, you keep the vibe up and people will stay longer at the bar and chat and drink more which benefits us, it benefits the bar and hence it benefits the drag queens too.
Thanks for listening to my Ted talk.
Does anyone know anything about this party and why it's $50? (I've read the description and I'm still unclear) Is there anything special about it that would make it cost more? It looks like it's like Throb, Afterwork, Slur, etc. - which is fine, love all those parties - but...am I paying Yum Yum prices to go to Buddies?
