I made a feature request to unlock Spotify Countdown Pages for ALL indie acts. Let's get this upvoted!
Hey community,
I’m an independent artist planning a long-term rollout strategy, and I noticed a huge barrier for developing creators.
Right now, Spotify locks the Countdown Pages tool behind a requirement of 3,000 monthly active listeners. This makes it incredibly hard for new projects or bedroom producers to get pre-saves natively on the platform. Since Apple Music allows hidden tracklists and upcoming release pages for everyone from day one, Spotify should be matching that energy to support DIY music makers.
I started an official feature request on the Spotify Community Idea Exchange to get this limit thrown out for EPs and albums.
I also just added a detailed breakdown in the thread comments addressing how Spotify can safely do this by keeping it strict for Albums/EPs only (to block AI single-track spam) and using automated verification systems—just like Apple Music does—to prevent any processing traffic or release delays.
Spotify's dev team actively monitors these threads based on upvote volume. If you want to support the community, you can find the thread on the Spotify Community Idea Exchange by searching for: "Feature Request: Remove the 3,000 listener requirement for Spotify Countdown Pages".
Appreciate you all!
