12/12…right…

Apparently the map likes to lie. Only 6 available stalls compared to the map saying there’s 12. Small bug but still.

Loving the update, not.

Great start to an update….
Stuck seeing frozen cars that aren’t there, but can’t see the ones that are here. Can’t see traffic lights as well. It can see lane lines for some odd reason though. Multiple hard resets did not resolve. Did not have this problem beforehand…..great😑.

Lane change on command expansion

Do we think this update marks the point that our vehicles actually understand the road? It also depends what Rivian means by lane change is available on more roads, I’m assuming the same roads that UHF works on. I’m hoping it will work on any road with multiple lanes to change into. If this is true, this may not be a huge update on the surface but the driving model would be getting a much bigger step to autonomy.

Door speaker wire tap?

Looking to add more range to my subwoofer. I figured out that Rivian just cut a chunk of frequency from the sub signal a while ago and bumped up the lower frequencies. This basically killed the punch it had. I’m curious if anyone has tapped one of the door speakers or know of a post/thread who’s done so? Any info helps!

Left wing camera not working

I’m assuming this is gonna be a replacement, unfortunately I’m out of warranty. Has anyone had this problem and maybe know a cost of the repair? I’ve tried hard reset and sleep cycle, to no avail. Any info helps!

Lane change on command faults or fails

On a long road trip currently and I’ve had multiple instances where lane change on command either says “system fault”, changes lanes and continues to drift out of the lane despite UHF still being on. It knows the lane lines, the path it’s taking and visualizes itself drifting out of the lane. The other instance is mid lane change it will swerve back into the original lane and swerve back as if it can’t make its mind up what to do. There’s no cars approaching me or infront of me so there’s no reason to not complete the lane change. Anyone else having these problems with UHF?

Rivian please add this, battery and mileage on minimap.

Can we have the predicted mileage and percentage to a destination on the minimap as well🙏. I hate having to keep checking the navigation over and over to see estimated percentage on arrival. I’d prefer to sit on a music app instead. Concept photo above for an idea of what I’m asking for.

Random screen shake bug?

I noticed this bug on the drive mode tab where the visualization randomly drops in quality and you can see the pixels/lines moving. The whole landscape slightly shakes as well but it’s a bit harder to notice. It only lasts for about five seconds until it goes back up in quality and stops shaking. It does this over and over. Not a big deal but let it be known.

Dolby atmos Meridian Vs premium

Hot take: I believe the Original meridian audio system and current premium system aren’t far off in terms of sound quality imo. Obviously the bass is ass in premium and pretty good in Meridian. In terms of Dolby atmos, why is it so ass in the Premium System compared to the Meridian audio? the premium system is much quieter when at the same volume levels and sounds more empty compared to the Meridian. Any answers or ideas as to why? (Besides the obvious that it’s just not a great system)

R2 Honest review

I test drove the R2 at the St. Louis Hazelwood service center and honestly loved it.

-Software
The infotainment was honestly pretty snappy and I love the Refresh of the Rivian UI. The layout of the music apps and the new “now playing” tab is great and nice to have closer to the driver. The apps loaded fast and were very responsive. The map was quick to load a route and fast to type in. There wasn’t really any loading times as there would be with my Gen 2 R1. Great improvement imo.

-Audio
I honestly didn’t have the biggest hopes and I find the audio to be okay. I found there to be genuinely barely any bass. Idk if this is once again pre production tuning or something but idk how people are talking about there being good bass when I feel as though there was none. I had the EQ turned all the way up and even then, almost feeling nothing. The quality of the sound was good and I enjoyed it but it really lacked any depth considering there wasn’t much bass.

-Driving
It was a blast to drive and wow does it pull. The pull from 50-70 is definitely more than I expected and damn does it get moving. It’s pretty smooth for no air suspension as well.
Having all the windows down was a blast and the back glass dropping down made it even better. Such a cool feature to have.

-Driver display
It’s gonna take some getting use to but it feels nice to more visibility with the steering wheel. It felt a little bit Lower quality/resolution than the R1 driver display but still was good. The blind spot cameras were a bit choppy but I expect that to be fixed with an update so wasn’t worried about it.

-Halo wheels
The haptic wheels will definitely take some getting used to and I honestly found them a bit hard to use. I was accidentally doing other things when trying to change volume or skip a song. This is probably user error but time will tell.

Overall, the R2 was great and I’m excited for it to be in my driveway. I think Rivian really nailed it with this car and I hope this is the hit it’s looking to be so far🤞.

Autonomy roadmap?

Good article from RivianTrackr. It’s nice to finally have an idea of when to expect certain features. I’m very excited for version 2 of UHF. I was hoping we’d see some autonommy features launch this summer, such as automatic lane change for highways. It kinda sucks that blue cruise is currently more autonomous than my Rivian even though I know it will surpass eventually. Do you think we’ll get an auto lane change for highways before complete on-to-off ramp autonomy? Other related thoughts?

Can’t find Rivian Care?

Can’t seem to find the Rivian Care website? Anyone else having this problem or able to find it?

Side note: kinda cool seeing the original pre production R1T

Hankook Ion HT 275/50/R22

Was looking into getting the Ion HT tires for my R1T. Was curious if anyone who has had these tires can give some insight on them? I know they’re all season but just have a few questions.

I’m curious of
-is there a loss, gain, or just about regular efficiency? (Highway speed mostly)
-How do they handle with rain, snow, off-road, etc?
-How’s the grip with launches or sportier driving? (Love to get a good 0-60 so not trying to have too much slip.)
- how’s the tread lasting?

Any insight helps, thanks!

Good improvements for Rivian assistant and some other fixes. Hopefully this isn’t the only update for June but suppose we’ll see.

PTP limited rollout?

What do yall think Rivian means by a limited rollout when first launching point to point autonomy before a larger rollout in early 2027? Do we think it’ll just be the early beta testers getting it first or a larger selective chunk of people?

Dynamic roof assistant bug

Maybe I’m thinking backwards and the Assistant is doing it right or this is just a little bug. Figured I’d let it be known. Rivian Assistant has been great so far!
