Civil War (free to watch): great movie ruined by the ad experience

For the most part, I only watch titles I have purchased on Vudu. Tonight, however, I saw that Civil War was free to watch. I have been anxious to watch that film since before it even came out, and with the current holiday and where the country seems to be headed, it seemed like the perfect night. I was riveted through the whole film - or would have been, seeing as there was an ad break with 4-6 ads every 8-10 minutes. For such a tense film, that sucks all of the tension out. During the climax alone, there were no less than four ad breaks, one of which being during the final seconds. It left me thinking (nay, fuming) more about the ads I saw than anything the film was meant to say. I use a number of other ad-based streaming platforms, but most of them work harder to limit the ads or to at least place them more appropriately. When the platform was Vudu, the "free with ads" films were definitely watchable. Based on the experience I just had, however, I will not be using the free to watch titles again any time soon. Do better, Fandango.

App Issues

Over the last few days, I keep having issues with the app not loading pages properly - various menus, and even title information just appear as blank pages.

My phone is on the latest update, I have tried clearing the cache, deleting and redownloading. Sometimes it helps for a while, sometimes it does nothing.

And now, after another delete and redownload, when I try to log in, it keeps giving me this error message, so I can't even get into the app.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Any idea of how to fix it?
